About Me

Hi. Thanks for stopping by.

Back in 2016, I joined the Rivers State Government’s Biometric Exercise team. Armed with technologies like Microsoft SQL Server 2012, especially the Integration Services feature, I embarked on a journey of data mining and transformation. I was shocked to find the presence of approximately four thousand phantom workers, thus shedding much-needed light on the government’s operations. This revelation brought transparency and resulted in savings of about N2b ($6m approx) in monthly salaries.

I also had the privilege of being a part of my state’s (Rivers State, Nigeria) Government’s Ministry of Budget & Planning / World Bank SIFMIS project. During my time there, I contributed my bit and provided guidance and instruction to the team and scores of end-users. Our work also required that we visit Johannesburg and the Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality headquarters. This was part of a study tour of the city’s almost £35m ERP software and IT system implementation.

Recognizing the dynamic nature of technology, I eventually made a transition in 2019. I embarked on becoming proficient in Google Analytics, empowering me to offer specialized services in setting up and managing Data Analytics, Data Visualization, and A/B Testing endeavors.

You may wonder, “How does any of this relate to me?” Well, if you’re a budding entrepreneur or a small business owner with a team of 30 or less, I understand the financial constraints you might be facing. I know how it feels to be limited in accessing the tools and expertise wielded by larger organizations. But fret not! I’m here to lend a helping hand.

As to Google Analytics, there’s a world of possibilities for you. With both free and premium versions available, you can unlock remarkable value for your individual, startup, or small business needs. Sure, the premium version comes with a price, but the free version certainly offers a solid foundation for tracking and analyzing your website’s performance.

Mastering Google Analytics, WordPress and a Virtual Private Server is time-consuming. Countless product reviews highlight the steep learning curves and complexities involved in A/B testing and data analysis, customization and management of dozens of WordPress plugins, and server performance and security management. Who has the time? Well, I can help if you want me to. My assistance ensures seamless setup and, if desired, ongoing management of your analytics initiatives and/or other platform areas of interest. This frees you up to focus on other things because you have a business to run.

As your business grows, there will come a point when my services, or the free version of GA4, might not meet your expanding needs. No worries, as our goal is your success. For now, let’s focus on establishing a solid foundation for your data analytics journey.

With almost two decades of experience as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, and Database Administrator, starting in 2004, I try to ensure I can continue to add value.

Around 2014, I had the opportunity to save my former place of work a $3k vendor assessment-only fee. The situation unfolded when our engineers encountered a significant obstacle – their de facto software crashed. If we had opted to fly in the vendor’s team, it would have taken several precious days just to commence the troubleshooting phase.

Without any assurance of a timely solution, our operations would have been impacted, potentially leading to a suspension of some activities. I approached my boss, requesting a brief window. One of our aircraft engineers pleaded, “Bukeda, please try. Please.” I understood. Nobody could afford the consequences of downtime. These people had families, and so did my boss – he had a business to run as well.

So here I was, at 2:30 am, by myself, rubbing the back of my stiff neck, gazing out of the expansive office kitchen windows at the tarmac, where airside workers in yellow reflective vests were going about their business with the help of bright flood lights – loading cargo, refueling aircraft, ramp handling, and more. There is something fascinating about airports, especially at night.

As a teen, I dreamed of becoming a pilot, but fate led me to become a DBA stationed on airport grounds. Savoring my second or third cup of Nescafe I returned to the server room to continue my day two of database restoration. By day three, it was finalized and the software was operational. The sight of smiles on my colleagues’ faces the next morning was priceless – they had read my email.

How about you? Have you had a similar experience where something “crashed”? Positive or negative? Was there somebody there to help?

Thanks for your time.
